Done a lot again, armor works now, you can level up now, and you can add stat points, but strength is the only one that works so far haha.
Anyway, the thing I'm proud of this time is the shop system, I finally got it worked, and again all made by myself.
So you can now buy stuff.
And of course sell stuff, your gold will be added. The buy price of an item is higher than the sell price.
Also made it so that if your inventory is full you can't buy more items, or when you don't have enough gold etc.
Now that this finally works I'll redesign some items, when I started this version of the game last year I was so excited I made all these junk items, like, ten colours of wizard hats etc. Fuck that many wizard hats haha, you won't even have magic attacks at that level. I'll make some basic armor for the player to buy at the start of the game to make the game easyer, maybe more variety in swords too.
Oh, also thinking of redrawing the whole "grasslands background". As you've seen in the previous blog post the style of the background doesn't really match with the style of the foreground. I'll make it way better in my second design.
Next on the programming list is to make enemies drop items or gold, and how you can pick it up.
I think the hardest part of the engine is done, I'm quite happy and proud about that haha.
